Books Time is passing too fast, can't get a hold of it, don't have time for anything. so basicly my days are all the same now and i like it, i really do.
Getting up at 9 am, then my student's coming (oh, i became a chinese tutor), then back massage, and then back home reading and studying. What do i read? Thats a long list. And just because i could never devote myself entirely to one thing (or one man) - then its quite apprehensible that i read 8 books at the same time and learn 3 languages at the same time. so u can guess that the efficiency is not high.
But these 8 books - i cannot devide them into ranks - like what i should read first and last. No... These are " Russian fairy-tales", Afanasyev " Slavonian myths, legends and superstitions", "Russian proverbs and by-words", "Vedi" and "Energetic mystery of russian proverbs". That's my russian part. I'm a linguist and am very interested in my own language. Then i read "Acient greek myths and acient greek and roman history", then memoirs of the chinese author and traveller Yu Qiuyu "余秋雨 简要读本“ and the last but not least Charles Dickens " A tale of two cities".
Oh yeah, and my absolute favorite - French grammar!
Thus i'm hopping from one language to another and feeling happy and satisfied. Thank God this jerk that I've almost been dating with showed his true face and left me alone.

Trying to keep it all going Life is moving on, no matter what happens.
2006 was very interesting to me, it started as a boring spell of time, me sitting at home all day long watching dvds, studying, reading. And flirting a LOT on different messengers. No life, huh...
Then i got tired of all this internet bullshit, found a job in Shanghai and went there. Didn't know i was going to spend half a year, be disappointed, encouraged, then totally disappointed again and then find myself a guy to fall for.
This year was GOOD for multiple reasons - most important ones are:
1) realized that i do not want to live in China 2) nor to work in China 3) nor to work in China even if its a great iincome, money pouring onto me, but the job is not interesting and fulfilling 4) its hard to maintain relationship with people when u r not close to them, so i give a credit with all due respect to those who still communicate with me even though i'm so bad at it 5) i m too old for clubs, i need comfort and slow music 6) i love my friends 7) i need to learn other languages - the problem with the french people is that they prefer to speak French to me. Mathilde - ur the best, ur not typical french.
So its not a bad year. Quite nice.
Naomi - I m soooooo glad that i met u, waiting for u in February - get ready. The experience of Russia is even more unbelievable and incredible than that one of urs in China. BTW, didn't i tell u. u ll make new friends in no time!
Mathilde - when the hell r u going to visit me!!!! I sincerely hope to c u this summer though.
Rod - it was nice to c u again online, i missed our chatting too.
And everyone - if even one of u all is going to read me- i will keep posting in this blog, otherwise - i have my russian one ;)
Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!

5 am stretching Oh that was sooooo nice. Impromptu party, godawful salad (crab, corn, noodles), Baccardi with coke and enjoyable company. Then heartfelt talk, dirty dances in front of the laptop and candlelight. I'm quite amazed how easy it is to do stretching when drunk, so we did not only stretching, but also hopping on one leg and other queer figures of normal gymnastics. While this debauchery continues the clock keeps on ticking....5 am, for crying out loud!

Frustrated It's all going wrong. My visa application today got rejected. Now I have to pay much more money for common tourist L type visa which I'll have a lot of troubles with. It's too hard to extend it there.

Journalism
Got an answer on an internship in That's Shanghai Magazine. They sent me thorough descryption of the duties and responsibilities and costs, all the staff. It's perfect, totally perfect. I'd get to be on every notable event in the city, club's opening, restaurant's promotion, press-conferences, trade fairs, i'd get to interview corporate leaders, meet a lot of interesting people and write, write, write. Hone my English. This does sound perfect for me. Though there's one but. They do not cover all the expenses and only pay like 500 yuan per month. I can't bear with it. If I was seeking a future employment in this company I'd get down to business right away, but all I need is to make decent money in short-time. But I am excited, turnes out I like event-planning business, exhibitions and journalism. Good enough for the start. They say the hardest thing to do is to realize what really suits you and find your way, then it'll lead you yourself up to the stars.
